Current & Past Projects
My research explores tourism as a cultural, territorial and developmental phenomenon, with particular attention to the ways heritage, food, landscapes, mobility and local practices shape places and visitor experiences. Across different projects, I have investigated themes such as gastronomic tourism and food heritage, cultural landscapes and migration, geotourism, religious tourism, sustainable tourism and regional development.
Some of my research has focused on the relationship between food, identity and tourism, including studies on Polish food traditions in Southern Brazil, regional gastronomy, culinary tourism and the role of local food systems in territorial development. Other projects examine cultural heritage and migration through the study of Slavic communities, memory, ethnic identity and tourism potential in Paraná.
I have also developed research on tourism and landscape, including field-based studies in protected areas, geotourism, environmental interpretation and the relationship between tourism, geography and education. In parallel, I have worked on applied and policy-oriented projects addressing religious tourism, nautical tourism, border tourism, destination planning and sustainable development.
Together, these projects reflect an interdisciplinary research agenda that connects tourism studies, geography, cultural analysis and regional development, combining academic inquiry with applied research in Brazil, Mexico and other international contexts.
